Das hier sieht relativ vielversprechend aus - Amesoeurs, eine französische Band die eine eigene Mixtur aus New Wave, Post Punk und modernen Black Metal spielt, mit weiblichem (klarem) Gesang. Von dem neuen, selbstbetiteltem Album ist ein Mischmasch aus zwei Stücken auf der Myspace Seite zu hören, ein schnelleres, metallischeres Stück und dann ein typischeres New Waviges Stück.

AMESOEURS – Complete Debut Album/New MP3 Available

France’s AMESOEURS have finally completed work on their mind-blowing and much-anticipated debut album, simply titled “Amesoeurs”.

To be released by Code666 Records in late march 2009, following the band’s highly praised and acclaimed 2007 “Ruines Humaines” EP and with the justifiable praise and hype built upon the EP , the Amesoeurs self-titled debut full-length easily would become one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Formed by Neige and vocalist Audrey Sylvain in 2004, in opposition to Alcest, Amesoeurs is a bleak, violent, melancholic, suffocating and desolate vision, one brimming with despair. Through their music, Amesoeurs portray a world of urban decay, a lifeless wasteland and a dark realm that becomes all too real in an age of social decay.

By mixing elements of harsh melancholic black metal, post-punk and ‘80s new wave influenced by the likes of JOY DIVISION, early CURE, and DEPECHE MODE, “Amesoeurs” is an album that shows the ever expanding talents of Neige and mixes elements from each of the aforementioned genres into one ind-numbing and unrelenting sonic journey where each song is a different expression that weave together to form an album that will go down as one of the most memorable releases of 2009.

Ich kenne die EP. Die ersten zwei Lieder fand ich ziemlich doof, aber das punkige Faiblesse des sens gefiel mir sehr gut.

Wer Amesoeurs mag, sollte auch mal <a href='http://www.myspace.com/alcestmusic' target='_blank'>Alcest</a> probehören. Über die bin ich übrigens auch auf Amesoeurs gekommen.

So wie es übrigens ausschaut wird das Debüt-Album auch der Schlußstrich sein. Leider Gottes!

Das Album ist einfach der Hammer. Sehr gemischt, vllt. mal ein paar Momente hier und da, die nicht so prima sind - aber Lied 10 "Amesoeurs" (im Preview-Sample das zweite Stück) entschädigt dafür alles. Trifft voll ins Herz, das Beste aus zwei Welten. B)
